Screen Shot 2013-05-27 at 19.35.19I think I had exams/London at the time Christopher Westerholm originally emailed us about his latest video, Nokia Lumia 920 Cinemastyle. This was shot in Sweden entirely on the Nokia Lumia 920.

You may remember his earlier work with the Nokia 808 PureView.

928 pd

Here are some more video reviews of the Nokia Lumia 928 for Verizon, this time from Mobile Tech Review, Phone Dog and Phone Arena.

Lisa says, unlike AMOLEDs outdoor, this one’s pretty good and really effective outdoors. Look how black the blacks are. She’s a big fan of the camera too though funnily says it ‘competes well’ with other current high end smartphones. No trouble on a full day, one charge.

Aaron says this is quite an important handset, being on the nation’s largest wireless carrier.

On to Phone Arena

Not a review but Chris Pirillo looks at the 928

Video: Matrix Style advert for Nokia Lumia 925 by Nokia Italy

MATRIX NOKIA 925

This isn’t the first time we’ve had a Nokia connection to the Matrix movies, but it is one of the ‘better’ ads that show off a Nokia, specifically the action shot mode in Smart Camera, found in the Nokia Lumia 925 (and soon in all Lumias getting the Amber update).

The video itself isn’t as slick as I’d like, but perhaps that ads to the charm of some random guys just messing about with this app (rather awkwardly :/) – which isn’t just for sporty movements, but pretty much anything. You also have the option of having background blur (well amongst the matrix style image options you have).

The positive to come out of this is thinking about everyday uses with smart camera.

Jo Harlow on Nokia Lumia with Computation Imaging (and Dual Sim) #Lytro

 Screen Shot 2013-05-27 at 10.45.54

Some interesting snippets of information from Jo Harlow when interviewed by BGR.

  • Dual SIM for Nokia Lumia is on the radar to bring to the portfolio. Currently dual SIM doesn’t exist for Nokia’s higher end smartphones.
  • Continue to push boundaries on how low Lumia will go
  • Future of imaging, not just the 41mp sensor capturing 38mp images or pureviewed 5mp images.
  • Future is capturing data in images even our eyes can’t see. Computational imaging – to capture and do things with your photos beyond simply adding a filter, but having the data perhaps to select new focus points :p which is also where the article concludes to - Lytro Lumias - Something Nokia is said to be investing in.

Special Limited Edition Man of Steel Nokia Lumia 925s on the way? #Superman

Posted: 27 May 2013 02:27 AM PDT

WPDang reports that there might be some limited edition Nokia Lumia 925s with some Superman, Man of Steel branding. Perhaps on the 925 itself and on the wireless charging covers.

Nokia has previously had limited edition, Dark Knight Rises, with the batman logo etched on the polycarbonate body of the Nokia Lumia 800 as well as the included case.

There’s a Man Of Steel app here:
