JBL PowerUp (MD-100W) Listed at $149 on Amazon (Cyan & Black)

Posted: 02 Jun 2013 06:31 AM PDT

Here’s another tasty deal for all you folks, the JBL PowerUp’s list price has been slashed down almost halfway (from ~$300) to $149. A great deal as it is, but unfortunately at the moment the speakers are out of stock, but you can order it at this price and have it (charged to your account) and shipped once they do get back in stock. So if you want one of these beasts and are fine waiting a bit on it look no further:

The black one is also on sale and out of stock (first one on the buying options- delivery through Amazon)

WP Clientfor Windows 8/Metro Updated to Support Document Syncing

Posted: 02 Jun 2013 03:12 AM PDT

Screenshot (86)The metro/modern UI/Windows 8 client for Windows Phone has just been updated to support syncing of documents across your PC to your phone (as well as browsing the documents you have on your phone). This update comes the same week as the desktop client graduated from beta; so hopefully things are on the right track.

(at least the client actually works now; for a horrible 2 months or so my phone was completely unrecognized by my Windows 8 PC).

The update should be showing up in your Windows 8 store/marketplace.

MyDreamNokia #91: Sexy Nokia Lumia 945 PureView, 41MP f/2.0 – 925/920 inspired

Posted: 02 Jun 2013 01:52 AM PDT

MNB1 1

Oooh, pretty pretty. In comes MyDreamNokia from Edgar Mkrtchyan. It’s like a blend of the 925 and 920.

  • 4.7″ 1080p screen
  • 3500mAh
  • 32/64gb
  • 10mm
  • 41mp, xenon
  • Snapdragon S600 2GB RAM (1.9GHz quadcore w/ Adreno 320 GPU?)

Nothing out of the ordinary, these are specifications we’re expecting from Nokia in 2013.

Here’s another concept PureView (41MP) I expected a lot. I kept the design of Lumia 920 by mixing it with the Lumia 925. The frame is made of anodized aluminum and the back shell is customizable, made of polycarbonate.
I placed the speakers on the front as the HTC One because I find it more convenient. The form of the camera is very similar to Nokia 808 but does not exceed much in thickness. I planned several colors of the back shell (Yellow, Cyan, White, Black, Red ..)

Loving the curved glass for aesthetic reasons.

The back is 925-like but works well here for that camera bump.

Someone said this might be a leak of the Nokia EOS, but it just looks like a MS Paint job, excessively blurred to hide the child-skills.

Amazon has finally stocked the Lumia 928 (only in white for the moment); even better though the phone is priced at $50 rather than the $100 (after $50 rebate). You can grab it with a two year service plan starting at $49.99 or get it off contract for $549 (keep in mind that the 928 is Unlocked for use on other carriers). Grab the xenon goodness at the link below:

Nokia Lumia 820 receiving PR 1.1.7 soon?

Posted: 01 Jun 2013 09:42 PM PDT

Vodafone Australia has posted that they are waiting for Nokia to provide them with a PR 1.1.7 release candidate that they can perform tests with, and eventually roll out.

Not too sure what PR 1.1.7 translates to in the scheme in WP version numbering, but seeing as 1.1.5 was the 1308 update, I assume the Lumia 820 will be getting 1314 (or equivalent) that we say coming to the Lumia 920 on Telstra recently.

I seriously hope this resolves my random reboot issue (some apps seem to aggravate it -so I deleted them but c’mon, that’s not a solution in any sense).
